Read any of the travel books and they will tell you to stay away from
Belize City. "Don't venture south of the Swing Bridge after sundown"
but is this true? Of course not! As in all cities, there is a measure
of crime. One must be aware no matter where they are. Belize City is
not a place where crime is running unchecked. And you will find most
people are friendly and more than willing to help you.

Belize City is a wonderful place that has gotten a bad rap from the
travel books. If you take the time to tour the city, you will be
pleasently surprized. You will find stores and shops with anything
you need. People who smile and greet you with a friendly "Good Mornin".
And there is so much to see.
